This Is My Angry Face

I’m pissed off. I’ve been pissed all morning. Not in a bad way, though. I’m not throwing cups of coffee at the old lady that sits across the row from me at work, or cutting people off on the road. I’m not even snapping at people who deserve it. No, I’m just pissed on the inside. More of an “annoyed” feeling, than anything else. I know you’re reading these words and wondering to yourself “why is Shanshu pissed?” while you eagerly sit forward in your seat, awaiting the arrival of the sentence of explanation needed for you to relax your shoulder muscles and breathe normally again. I could tell you why I’m pissed at this very moment…but I think I might make you wait a minute or two. Then maybe you’ll be pissed off, too.

Ok, you know I can’t be a dick like that. See? I’m not pissed at the world, and I’m not taking out my frustration on others. I’m just stewing in my pot of crap and annoyance with the weather. That’s right, the fucking weather has caused me to get pissed. Something as simple and unchangeable as the stupid temperature has caused me to be in a bad mood on this holiest of work days, The Friday. I’ve tried to be in a good mood, but so far the closest I’ve come to being in a good mood is rubbing one off in the bathroom after I saw a hot cartoon chick giving interactive bunny. It’s really not going to get any better than that.

Midwest weather pisses me off. It’s only September, and already the air is chilled. This morning when I walked out to my car, I actually shivered. I took a deep breath, and saw a steam vapor rise out from within me…I could see my fucking breath, it was so chilly. Then I got to my car and noticed some FROST ON MY WINDSHIELD. I almost had an aneurism right there on the pavement…luckily my anger took over, and instead of allowing myself to succumb to the depression, I was able to redirect those negative emotions into “pissed off”.

It’s only September, and already I have to consider the possibility that it’s time to dust off the leather coat and start wearing jeans again. I just got back from the hot, sunny beach…and I’ve returned to the Midwest pre-winter show. Apparently, summer decided to take a vacation while I was gone, and surprise me with this winter ambush.

Fucking winter.

I hate winter, that’s no secret. I’m not one of those people who says “Oh, look at the snow! It’s so pretty!”. That is not my personality towards the matter. I’m more along the lines of “Oh, wonderful. It’s fucking snowing again. Well, the drive to work tomorrow is going to suck ass again.”. Nothing good comes from winter…everybody gets sick, everything dies, and the world is bleak and dark and cold.

@(#*&@&^%$ !!

Anyway, that’s why I have been pissed off all morning. I’ll be fine after lunch, though. I plan to go to the cafeteria and get some rice and veggies from the Asian counter and read my book and be content in my isolation. Tonight I plan on having a great time and staying indoors as much as possible, so as not to be reminded of the fact that summer is almost over.

Have a good weekend, everybody.

You know, I despised the midwestern winter and the snow too, until I didn't have it for four years. It's weird the things you don't realize you liked until they're gone.

Hopefully there will be photo documentation of your sandy debauchery.

And I'm intrigued about the girls...maybe we should trade notes.

So, what book you readin? I hate the winter too. And the rain. That's why I had to get out of Washington. It just rains and rains and snows and sleets and rains and hails. and all sorts of nasty coldness. I'm in Cali, and for the past week I've had to drive to work with my heat on. What is that?

Ew I am not a fan of winter either. Its been cool and fall like for weeks now. It pisses me off too.

I am SO in the wrong place for one that doesn't like winter.

I would trade places with you in a heartbeat. Florida has no seasons. It's hot, hotter and Holy Shit Hot.

Maybe if you go back into the bathroom you might feel better.

Yea I've lived in both extremes. I grew up in Chicago where it gets colder than a witch's titty (as Dad used to say) and then lived in Texas where the fire from hell hath no comparison to the heat. Like Drunkbh mentioned of Florida, in Texas there is hot, hotter, hotter than hades, 2 weeks of winterish weather then right back to hot. That's why I moved to South Carolina, trying to get somewhere right in the middle, cause it sucks not having fall weather and some semblance of a winter. It's working out ok so far except the humidity and bugs here are out of control.

Regardless hope you're feeling better now :)

Out here in northern California is similar to what drunkbh and ashley said, most years. This year, however, we have the freaky midwest weather going on. It started earlier this year with a crapload of tornadoes (well, a crapload for us is like a day in paradise for most people in tornado alley - but still . . . ). Then, it didn't start getting hot here until the middle to end of June, which is unheard of. Normally, we've already had 100 degree temperatures by the end of May. July was hot. Days and days of 100+ temperatures. But August and September were both fairly cool. Like 80's and low 90's cool. Now, we're in the upper 70's. It's freaking WEIRD.

Normally, I wouldn't be complaining at all. I don't like hot weather. I prefer cold mornings and blustery fall days. However, it figures the summer would do this to me the year I decide to FINALLY get a pool. Damnit.

Great, now I'm in a bad mood. :-P

I hate the winter. totally HATE it. Think it is partly because my birthday is in the winter. Sucks. Do men really do "that" while they are at work in the washroom, I mean, I know I have, but then again, I'm a different sort. I like hentai myself....:) what's your kink?

I find fall depressing, too. Probably because we were conditioned to dread fall because it meant it was time to return to BVN.

God, guys are so lucky that they can get away with doing that at work. If girls could go that quickly, every day would just be magical.

So, Mr Shu is slacking off I see. That or actually working. Where's Monday's post hmmm?

Frost on your windshield? Oh great, I can't WAIT to get back to Kansas in October. I get depressed at the first sign of winter, so this should be just great. :(
