The "Fuck You" of the Week

This guy is my new hero. Apparantly, Verizon Wireless quoted him a price of .002 CENTS per each kilobyte of wireless usage while in Canada. They charged him .002 DOLLARS, instead. Obviously the dollar amount is correct, but the fact that Verizon REFUSES to admit a difference between dollars and cents is.....FUCKING HILARIOUS.

So listen to the video below. It's his actual call into Verizon to clarify the situaion and explain simple math to them. It's priceless.

THEN check out the picture below. It's his payment to Verizon after all this crap is over with. Be sure to read the memo.

Classic.

Do you know if they cashed the check?

Check out Zug.com, which is a really funny site where he calls all sorts of companies about stuff. For example, he calls Johnson and Johnson after he puts "No More Tears" baby shampoo directly in his eye becuase the bottle says, "As gentle on the eyes as water." His argument: it burns when you put an eyedropper full of this shampoo in your eye, and it doesn't burn when you put an eyedropper full of water in your eye (he actually does it).

I have to say that I understood what he was saying. .002 cents times whatever he used worked out to 74.9898 or something. That means that you still have to use the label cents. So it was, in effect, 74 cents. They're just dumb.

I would like to hire this guy as my book-keeper. I would also like to hire him to call every place that has ever ripped me off before.

Anyone else notice the beginning of the conversation they call the dude George, but the check says the guy's name is Randall?

And good lord, the customer service guy is a fucking dumbass! I can't believe George could stay so calm throughout this call.

Oh my god! That was freaking hilarious. I couldn't listen to it all, because the Verizon rep was just too dumb for words. And after what I just went through with my phone company (just wrote about it in my blog), the timing is just too good.
