It was my hope to post something entertaining yet well thought today. One of those posts that makes you stop and consider my words on a deeper level than just the surface layer of poetic and literary dribble that spews forth whenever I go on a rant or tangent. Alas, today I have nothing worth blogging about.
I could find other ways to amuse you. I could recall a humorous event from recent memory or spin you a web of fiction with enough structure and support to keep you interested until the very end.
I don't think I have it in me today. I feel very lazy and un-creative and can't think of anything to say that would be worth your time, or mine.
So instead, I offer a question to entertain and enlighten:
Would you rather live during the ascendancy of a civilization, or during its decline?

I have a question on your question: Would one know that the civilization was ascending/declining?
If you knew, I'd pick ascending. If you were oblivious, declining.
Hmmmmm. Good point. I suppose we should stipulate that you would be unaware of the future outcomes. Either the society is close to crumbling or you're just starting out. You wouldn't know, either way.
Although...if you didn't KNOW what was about to happen, then you wouldn't have any point of reference and thus you'd rather be doing exactly what you're doing.
Hmmmm.
I'm going to say....that you KNOW what is going to happen. You have slight omniscience for this question.
Well, considering that many believe that our current self-destructive nature as humans places us in the latter category, I'd like to live in a period of ascendacny. A period of enlightenment. We're kind of in a dark age now, if you really think about it.
i know, it does suck. my new meds make me all claim and everything....stupid medicine!
I think your new meds are affecting your eyesight, chief. What is this comment, and how does it relate to the post?
lol
Totally ascension. I like going up.
